As part of our Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme, we have launched a series of free online courses to support people at home during this challenging time of social distancing. These courses last for 6-weeks for 2.5h per week.
To participate in these courses, learners will need a laptop or PC with webcam and microphone, internet connection with Google Chrome browser, an email address and be able to access websites.
Positive Thinking For Stress Reduction
The course offers practical advice, tips and strategies to help understand the mind and body relationship of stress, recognising cognitive distortions and how to engage positive thinking, develop better boundaries and communication, reducing negative stress and improving wellbeing.
Reducing Anxiety And Staying Healthy
The course offers practical advice, tips and strategies to manage and reduce anxiety and to enable learners to develop helpful routines, behaviours and thinking styles in staying healthy.
Self-Care For Resilience
This course will enable you to boost your resilience and develop a self-care plan that nurtures and supports your wellbeing during these challenging times. The course will take place in an online classroom, with group teaching facilitated by two tutors.
Virtual Health And Wellbeing
This course will enable learners to identify the components of health & wellbeing; develop and build a positive approach to health and wellbeing using discussion, activities and self-reflection; establish how to maintain a healthy lifestyle whilst adapting to the current Covid-19 restrictions.
Community & Family Learning
We offer FREE interactive courses to help you negotiate these tricky times. These range from craft ideas and how to make playdough together (if you can spare the flour!), to understanding emotional wellbeing and online safety. If you are a parent, grandparent or caring for a child or young person living in Essex we have support for you.
