Course Aims

  • to improve parents’/carers’ ability to support children’s learning and development
  • to improve children’s communications, language, reading and writing skills
  • to improve parents’/carers’ own skills and knowledge

  • link play with communication development
  • the importance of picture books in child’s early language development
  • how English is taught at schools
  • reading with children
  • family life and routines
  • festivals and traditions in the UK
