Please tell us a little bit about your current role/course:

I am a full time health care assistant at The Marillac NCC and just completed my NVQ3 Lead adult care worker diploma.

What inspired you to seek a career within the Health & Care sector?

My passion for care and childhood dream to become a nurse.

What would you say to others considering a career within Health and Social care?

I love being a carer and it’s something which you can learn new things every single day. The work environment is so busy so you will never be bored. This is the best path if you are looking forward for career developments and achievements. You can make realistic goals and work for it. Your success will not be that far.

How has Nightingale supported you in achieving your career goals/progression?

ACL was introduced by my employer, however their teaching pattern, my tutors friendly approach, accuracy, professionalism, extra management and leadership sessions helped me to complete my award with flying colours. My tutor was fantastic and she always supported me more than I asked. All the other tutors also fabulous. They helped me to achieve my English requirement as well. The knowledge I gained from their BBB sessions and extra sessions will definitely support my next career goal.

What is one thing you are proud of that you have achieved whilst completing your programme?

I’m proud that I improved my communication skills, presentation skills and leadership skills and also I achieved the foundation knowledge I want for my nursing degree.

We’d like to know more about you outside of your studies, tell us about your hobbies, and interests…

I am a dancing choreographer and a fashion designer. Whenever I have a free time I would like to listen to music, read a book, cook something new, make a dress or do gardening. Experiencing different cultures, food and travel destinations also in my interest list.
