Who is this course for?

Learners who wish to improve physical and mental health & wellbeing. This course is for personal development and does not include qualifications.

What can I expect to learn?

Learners will be able to explore the concepts of health and personal wellbeing by learning about:

  • Sleep
  • Physical activity
  • Healthy eating
  • Mental wellbeing.
  • Practical activities in relaxation and mindfulness.

How will I learn?

In small groups, taught by 2 tutors who have professional and lived experience of mental health. There will be activities, group work, individual reflection and a chance to ‘check-in’ at each session.

How will I know how well I am doing?

Learner achievement will be assessed and monitored by the tutor during the class and feedback given on a group basis or one-to-one as appropriate.

A short Individual Learning Plan with specific learning outcomes will be negotiated and agreed at
the beginning of the course. These will be reviewed and recorded at the end of the course.
