Course Aims:

These workshops/special events offer support for you and you family on a variety of topics. They give you an opportunity to speak to professional tutors about your concerns, other parents facing the same challenges,  or join events that have been created to bring you and your family together to learn.

Key information:

  • Bring your own homework
    Bring your homework is a workshop that does exactly what it says – we want you to bring a question, or a worksheet that you and your child is struggling with, and our trained professional tutors will dedicate time to help you to help your child.
  • Money Talk for kids
    This course is designed to give you confidence to support your KS1 child with their Maths and money. Do they understand where money comes from? Do they know about saving and spending? This workshop explores those ideas and gives you the strategies to talk to your child about money.
  • 11+ exam
    A chance to have some practical advice and support to help you support your child to take the 11+ exam.
  • Family First Aid
    This workshop will give you an introduction to first aid. It will give you current advice for young children such as dealing with choking, cpr and burns.
  • Parents into Employment
    This workshop will explore all then challenges we face as parents and working. Are you wanting to get back in to employment. Are you worried you do not have the skills needed to return to the workplace? Are you worried that a job may not fit around the children. This workshop will explore all of these and give you hint and tips to help you.
  • Co-Parenting
    Parenting is not an easy task at the best of time but with Covid-19 it has got that little bit harder. Trying to balance co-parenting is not easy at all and has many complications along the way. Do your children behave differently once they come home? Do they test the different boundaries you have at your home? Come along to this real time workshop and explore these challenges and discuss strategies that can help.
