This course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn foundation concepts and techniques in cognitive behavioural therapy and gain a view of their application in supporting mental health. Learners should have a good level of English language speaking and listening skills. This programme does not provide a professional qualification or entitle the learner to practice cognitive behavioural therapy professionally.
This course does not lead to a qualification, is for personal development and is at beginner level.
What can I expect to learn?
You will learn concepts and basic techniques in cognitive behavioural therapy and gain an
understanding of how CBT can be used to support mental health.
How will I learn?
Teaching methods may include tutor presentations, group discussions, pair work, role play. Your tutor will give feedback and you will be encourage to reflect on and record your own progress.
