Independent Visitors support children and young people in care up to age 18. They meet with them every month for a few hours. An Independent Visitor can be life changing for a young person in care.

We're looking for enthusiastic people to help Essex residents waste less and recycle more. As a Love Essex Champion, you’ll have access to a range of fun challenges which could include anything from sharing on social media, creating short films, chatting with your friends and neighbours, or attending talks and events.

The Essex Youth Offending Service works with children and young people who have offended, to help prevent them getting into further trouble. We work with parents, carers, victims and the community to help young people understand the consequences of their actions.

Volunteers play a vital role in the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service. They perform essential, supportive tasks complementary to those undertaken by our paid staff. Their role is an enriching one, which benefits everybody: service users; staff; and the volunteers themselves. We simply couldn’t reach as many children, young people and their families without volunteers.

Active Essex is the Physical Activity and Sports Partnership for Essex, Southend and Thurrock. They work collaboratively with local partners to ensure the power of physical activity and sport can transform lives.

Our courses help you to understand the effects of nutrition on your wellbeing, manage anxiety, learn techniques on mindful thinking, and will guide you on your journey of personal development.
