More Information
Our country is in an unprecedented position as it fights COVID-19. However, we know that many people would still like to help keep our county safe during this time and, indeed, post-pandemic.
We continue to receive many expressions of interest for volunteering for Essex Police and we hope you will want to join us.
We have many opportunities. You could become an Active Citizen – they support our policing teams in the community, often at public engagement events (when the time is right) and by providing information about crime prevention and fraud & scams awareness.
Other volunteering opportunities include supporting our digital and forensics teams in the world of cybercrime, supporting our specialist fraud and scams investigators, working with our Witness Care team and helping out in the Essex Police Museum. These are our Police Support Volunteers. We also have opportunities for young people aged between 13 and 18 to join our Volunteer Police Cadets scheme and for adult leaders. And we are also recruiting Special Constables.
If you are over 18 years of age, have been a resident in the United Kingdom for more than three years and are interested in volunteering within your community or in any of our varied volunteering roles then please get in touch and register your interest.
Please note: all volunteer opportunities are offered, subject to applicants passing Essex Police Vetting.
