Meet the team – Danielle
Danielle Markham – Community Engagement Officer
What is your role at ACL for Your Future Matters?
I’m Danielle Markham and I am a Community Engagement Officer at ACL. I worked on a similar project called Evolve, and have now moved over to ‘Your Future Matters’. I will be at different venues and events across Tendring speaking to people about the service we offer and how we can help them.
Why did you take on this role?
I am passionate about helping people. I really enjoy meeting and talking to new people
What does it mean to be part of the Your Future Matters project?
It means a lot to know that I could be involved in helping to change someone’s life..
How does Your Future Matters support local residents?
We aim to reach different communities across Tendring, whether these be deprived or not. We can help everyone with things like skill development, mental health and finding jobs.
How does Your Future Matters support local businesses?
We can help businesses offer their staff further training meaning that they can retain staff, or even expand their business. We can also offer an incentive for apprenticeships.
Tell us a little more about yourself – what do you do when you’re not working on this project?
I have a 9 year old son, 3 dogs and a cat – so I’m pretty busy all the time! I’m also studying for a degree in Forensic Psychology. In whatever spare time I do have, I enjoy watching crime documentaries!
