A Lifelong Passion for Care
I have been passionate about health and social care for a very long time, since I was young. I love to care for people and working in social care aligns with my values and vision in life. It’s good to work in a sector where you feel fulfilled.
My Career Journey
My background is in social care. When I studied psychology at school, it aligned with working with people and having the mindset of impacting someone’s life and making them better. I have been working in health and social care for close to two years now in the UK but my training goes back to my university days.
Training with ACL Essex
I am currently doing my NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. My experience overall has been top-notch, it has been an eye opener. It’s helped me to upgrade my knowledge in health and social care as it’s a broad sector. My training with ACL has added to my knowledge both practically and theoretically. The tutor’s guidance has really enlightened me on best practises both at work and in life generally. I have also gained an understanding in the laws involved in health and social care and health and safety in the workplace. My training in ACL has been excellent and increased my knowledge, making me more effective in the workplace and in life.
What I Love about the Sector
What I enjoy about the health and social care sector is the ability to meet different people on daily basis, in the care sector no two days are the same. When going to work, I won’t have this mindset of, maybe today is going to be the way it was yesterday, I always come with an open mind.
