Policy aims and intention
This policy aims to support the Adult Community Learning Essex
Service delivery of high quality, inclusive teaching, learning and assessment which meets individual needs, leads to successful outcomes, promotes progression to employment, progression within employment or to further study, and has a positive impact on families and communities.

The Policy
Learners are entitled to:
- information and advice
- assessment of learning needs
- appropriate learning support
- a safe and supportive learning environment
- qualified and appropriately trained staff
- good, well paced, well planned, structured, stimulating teaching and learning opportunities
- effective and timely assessment
- monitoring of progress and regular feedback
- differentiation of learning
- appropriate resources; including access to online-learning
- inclusive approach which recognises diverse needs
- advice on progression opportunities
