Feeling a bit stressed or anxious? Wondering how to take the next step toward a job, a new career or simply to improve your health? ACL Essex offers free support this Mental Health Awareness Week – 12-18 May.
ACL Essex is shining a light on the support it gives people in the community. The adult education provider is offering free mental health and employability courses.
ACL is giving people the chance to join their mental health recovery programme. Courses are free and run 2.5 hours per week between two to six weeks. The support is delivered by experienced professionals who care. They help learners explore what feeling well looks like and provide top tips for people to live their best lives. The courses cover building self-confidence and managing anxiety. There’s also advice on how to reduce stress and positive habits for health and wellbeing.
Alongside these support programmes, ACL also offers free advice to help people handle workplace challenges or return to work. Help is also available for those considering a different career path. ACL offers several life coaching courses. Key focuses are on motivation, self-confidence, time management, emotional intelligence and assertiveness.
Lisa Jarentowski, Adult Community Learning Principal, said: “ACL Essex offers free courses which can help people with their mental health and wellbeing. Our tutors are very experienced and passionate about the work they do. If you are struggling with low self-esteem, get anxious or stressed, I’d encourage you to sign-up to a course.
