Free Skills Bootcamps with guaranteed job interviews start soon at ACL Essex

ACL Essex offers Skills Bootcamps to help people get work-ready and progress in their careers.

The free 12-week long courses give people the chance to step on, or up the ladder. Courses are on offer in digital marketing, early years and project management (construction).  The programmes start in January 2025 with all participants seeking new employment being guaranteed a job interview.

Skills Bootcamp courses:

Digital Marketing:

Participants will learn how to define, design, build and carry out digital marketing campaigns across online and social media platforms. The course includes sections on content creation and editing and how to evaluate marketing activity. The Skills Bootcamp is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in digital marketing or those looking to raise awareness of their business using social channels

Construction (Project Management)

Courses will provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage projects. This includes initiating a project, project planning, and delivery. Learners will also find out how to team build and learn more about domestic retrofitting. This course is suitable for those wanting to work in construction and be able to manage small projects from the start. This programme is also suitable for those who are self employed and want to build greater knowledge of project management for their business.

Early Years:

An ideal programme for people looking to step into the early years sector. Participants will gain a solid foundation in safeguarding, supporting children with special education needs, and child development in theory and practice.

To get on a Skills Bootcamp course, participants can be employed, unemployed or self-employed and must be able to study at Level 3 and above.  On completion of the course, learners will be guaranteed an interview for a job or an apprenticeship. They will be supported to find a new job or progression upon completion.
