We recently hosted a thrilling Family Tech Fun Day, offering the perfect blend of entertainment and learning for residents of Essex. This event was filled with exciting activities such as 3D printing, VR headsets, and Lego challenges, providing a unique opportunity for families to bond while exploring the latest in technology.

The VR headsets were a hit among children, who had the chance to choose between feeding sharks, walking with lions, exploring the solar system, witnessing the Great Fire of London, or simply enjoying a day in the countryside. Our tech team were on hand to ensure the headsets were always charged and ready for use. This immersive experience showcased the wonders of virtual reality and sparked curiosity in the minds of young participants.

Sophia Harty, our coding tutor, captivated the children by teaching them how to animate avatars using coding. She demonstrated the valuable skills taught in her classes held at local libraries in Laindon and Billericay, emphasising the importance of early exposure to technology and coding.
Additionally, the AI generator workshop allowed youngsters to unleash their creativity, proving that imagination knows no bounds. By starting young and learning how to use AI technology, these children are setting themselves up for a future where AI will play an increasingly significant role in both education and the workplace.

Refreshments were provided by Mother’s Kitchen Café in Pitsea, ensuring that our little makers stayed fuelled and energised throughout the day. As with all our events, face painting and slime-making activities were also available, adding an extra layer of fun to the celebration.
“Nice to have free drinks and snacks – friendly staff – thank you”
