ACL Essex has been successfully re-accredited to the matrix Standard. The award demonstrates the high-quality learning provision they offer adult learners in Essex.
The international quality standard demonstrates the top-level Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) services ACL provides. The IAG framework follows the learner journey, guiding and supporting them at every stage.
Learners were happy to endorse the help on offer. “The supported learning feels very safe. It’s like a family or a second home. I do extra learning in my own time and am now volunteering”.
“Our counselling tutor is very supportive. Full of ideas for our progression, based on what we each want.”
Roger Chapman, Head of the matrix service for The Growth Company said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for ACL Essex, and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available. The matrix Standard is designed to benchmark organisations against best practice in these areas. With their accreditation success, ACL Essex is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.”
ACL Essex offers a wide range of courses that are delivered online, via distance learning and in classrooms. The centres can be found across Essex from Clacton to Harlow.
Commenting on the award, Councillor Tony Ball, Essex County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education Excellence, Lifelong Learning and Employability said:
“We are delighted that our learners continue to have an excellent experience at ACL Essex. ACL Essex courses build key workplace skills, deliver sought-after qualifications, and instil confidence. The accreditation is a wonderful reward for the team.”
