“I chose ACL because I needed to provide GCSE results for a teacher training programme as my exams were taken outside of Britain and were not accepted as I did English as a foreign language, not my native language, and my maths was split into algebra and geometry.
I was really happy when I found a ACL GCSE courses. They were free and the time was suitable. I did my English GCSE course with Angela online, and maths GCSE higher with Jan in the classroom.
Both tutors were very knowledgeable and patient. They answered all our questions and encouraged us to try our best.
After I received my mock results (grade 9 for paper one and grade 8 for paper 2) I had proof of my good knowledge of maths within the GCSE curriculum and it helped me to secure a position of maths instructor at one of the secondary schools, where I had previously worked as a learning support assistant.
