MEDIA RELEASE: ACL Essex boosts employment confidence with skills training

During National Careers Week ACL Essex is highlighting the benefits of Essential Employment Skills training.

This National Careers Week (2 – 7 March), adult learning provider, ACL Essex, is placing a spotlight on its Essential Employment Skills.

The programme is designed to help adults gain qualifications and build confidence. This helps them progress into work, further education or more training. Many of the courses can be studied while claiming Universal Credit. The programme in line with the Department of Work and Pension guidance.

Councillor Tony Ball, Cabinet Member for Education, Lifelong Learning and Employability, Essex County Council, said: “ACL careers advisors give learners personalised support that goes beyond just a single course. From job searching and digital skills, ACL builds confidence with its training and provides a complete pathway to employment.

“ACL also provides mental wellbeing support and career planning to all learners. This level of support shows the level of wraparound support adult learners receive at ACL.”
