ACL Essex hosts recruitment events for fully funded health and social care courses and apprenticeships

ACL Essex offers employers, workers and new recruits free training in health and social care thanks to the Nightingale care bursary. The learning provider will be hosting two events to outline what’s on offer.

To showcase the training opportunities, ACL will be running two webinar events on 14 January 2025 (11.30am-12.30pm for learners and 5.30-6.30pm for employers). The first event is aimed at people already working in the sector but want to develop their careers. This online event will also give an insight into training opportunities for those looking to enter the profession. The second webinar is focused on care home managers and providers within social care. The event will outline all the apprenticeships and free courses on offer via the Nightingale Care Bursary.

In Essex 35,000 people are employed in health and social care, making it one of the largest employment sectors in the county. It is a vital part of the health and care system, helping to support vulnerable people across the county. Essex County Council is working with ACL to boost the skillset of people employed in the industry. Only 14% of the care workforce in Essex hold a Level 3 (A-Level equal) qualification. ACL will be running courses, which range from Level 2 qualifications which are ideal for new entrants through to Level 5, which supports leaders and managers within the sector.

The Nightingale offer includes apprenticeships and qualifications from levels 2 through to 5 in health and social care.
