There has been a strong focus on co-production and there has been great working relationships made with ACL colleagues and their learners who have been part of the journey so far.
Sarah Namazzi, Registered Manager
ACL Supported Learning learners have been working hard to support a new care home opening in Weeley. Mill Lane is a four-bedroom, single storey residential service. It has been co-produced to meet the needs of young people aged 18-25, with Autism and complex needs, embarking on their journey to independence. The students at ACL have been helping to develop the home by creating mood boards, helping with interior decorating, and gardening the grounds to make sure they are lovely for both staff and residents at Mill Lane.

Sarah Namazzi, Registered Manager, said “the work that has been done with all those involved within the organisation and outside the organisation especially the work undertaken with individuals with lived experience just blows my mind.”

I enjoyed doing the research for the sensory wall, finding different sensory equipment that they could use and designing the sensory garden.
Mia, Supported Learner

It was nice to meet Keeley online to talk about the project. I liked choosing the colours and designing the bedrooms.
