We have successfully moved our classroom offer to be delivered online where possible. This ‘blended’ learning approach has been developed so that you can continue enhancing your skills and benefiting from our services remotely. Where it is not currently possible to move practical based courses online, our tutors will be providing other activities. These include producing video clips, blogs and articles to keep people engaged and motivate because connection really matters. Our tutors are also keeping in contact with our community using social media and emails. These innovative approaches also extend to learners on Supported Learning programmes. If you’re enrolled on an accredited course or apprenticeship, our tutors will be supporting you every step of the way with regular contact.
A programme of online accredited level 2 courses has been created to support residents and businesses with upskilling and retraining. Additionally, furloughed workers who wish to access an accredited online course are having the fees waived, so that they can enhance existing skills or develop new ones. Our ‘Preparing to Work in the Adult Care Sector’ certificate will also have the fee waived for anyone looking to take up this course. Depending on circumstances some of our courses are fully funded for certain individuals.
You can sign up for our September classes, as we are now accepting applications. Don’t forget you can start apprenticeships and work based learning programmes any time, so apply now. If the course you wish to undertake is at level 3 or above, an Advanced Learning Loan could assist you to pay for it.
