Our Supported Learning Employability Skills students will be performing at the Mercury Theatre on 14th June 5:30pm.

To set the scene… The Peach Child is a play, written by Anna Furse, based on a Japanese fairytale about a miracle birth, growing up and letting go. One cold day, as the Old Woman is washing kimonos in the river, a huge peach floats by. She takes the peach home to her husband, who happens to love peaches, but as he cuts into the peach, they both get a huge surprise! Tickets are available from ACL Colchester reception for £5 (limited number available).
“At the heart of all the work the students do is about instilling an understanding, and practical experience of, employability values and qualities. These include teamwork, adaptability, communication, accountability, problem solving, time keeping and a sense of pride in the work they do; a job well done which, in turn, inspires a sense of positive self-worth and purpose.” Michelle, ACL Supported Learning Tutor.
